Equipped with Allison's 4800 off-highway series fully automatic transmission, 17 wide-body mining dump trucks manufactured by Chinese heavy machinery manufacturer LiuGong were exported to Colombia for use in local mines to transport coal mines.

Colombia is the largest coal producer in South America. Its abundant coal seams are located in very rugged terrain, and the coal mining process requires extremely robust and reliable heavy truck transportation and loading. Designed with a maximum payload of 60 tons and a body capacity of 32 cubic meters, the new mining truck is powered by a 382kW Yuchai diesel engine (YC6K13.520) and an Allison 2400 Nm off-highway fully automatic transmission rated at 4800 Nm. Allison uses torque converter technology to smoothly increase engine torque and transfer more power to the drive wheels. Through power multipliers, drivers gain higher vehicle performance, faster acceleration, and enhanced operational agility while driving. Wide-body mining carts exported to Colombia are mainly used for topsoil stripping in open-pit coal mining areas, and heavy loads on simple construction roads with certain slopes. Work two shifts per day, each shift is about 8-10 hours.
